The Zoetropes is an international group of storytellers who bring together theatre, comedy, spoken word and music. They met at the Mezrab Storytelling School in Amsterdam. After wrestling, laughing, crying and crafting stories together through lockdowns and life-changes, they developed a collective to further the storytelling movement.
Who we are
Farah Coppola (1987) was born in Sicily to a Sicilian father and a French mother. She came to the Netherlands at the age of ten. Farah opens up about the divine comedy drama of her life bloopers, her family and strange encounters. Her stories are like little plants that she waters with integrity and devotion to make them bloom and give away.
Farah’s style is a combination of Southern European temperament and Northern European logic. She has an open and energetic demeanor and always leaves you with something to contemplate.
The Zoetropes are a diverse group of wonderful storytellers. Our collaboration for our Verhalen op Vrijdag event was professional and easy-going. I'm curious on what the Zoetropes do next! And look forward to working with them again.
